What we're about

Making films is glamorous, it's fun, it's rewarding, it's exciting and it's downright wonderful!

It's also a lot of hard work, very technical, challenging, demanding and complex.

That first list is why you want to make films.

The second list is why you need people to help you learn how to make films.

Welcome to Leeds Ninja Filmmakers!

Making a film without a big budget is an ultimate challenge in itself. It's an art more than a science.

This is my attempt to do in Leeds what I already do in London. I have a filmmaking group called London Project Productions 2011 that has more than 700 members. We have a great team of people and we work well together. In the 6 years that I have been organising that group we have made many projects together. These projects you can see at:

We have facebook, twitter etc. as well. Find us if you can.

The problem I have is that recently I have moved to live in Yorkshire and London is so far away. So, while I would not give up my London filmmaking activities for anything, I am looking to augment them by doing some projects in Leeds as well since it's much closer to home. In London we shoot once or twice a month, on the weekends. Hopefully, we'll be able to do the same in Leeds except that in Leeds I can shoot in evenings as well.

Here I am looking to join forces with similar people who believe in "Learning by doing".

You don't need to have experience or equipment, all you need to have is a burning desire to get involved with filmmaking and a drive to follow through.

You should join this group if you are in films or trying to get into films. All kinds of skills from production assistant to director will be useful. We will need music composers as well, and editors, and producers, and script supervisors, clappers, the whole team. So, if you are interested, click that Join button.

And do take that joining form seriously, please....
