Wednesday Night Riders
We will meet in the parking lot at the east end of the shopping plaza where Antonio's Pizza is located. We will leave the lot at 6:00 PM and ride the 1.5 miles to John U. Lloyd State Park as a group. Once we get inside the park and I get a headcount of the number of riders, we break up into groups and ride as many laps as we want to. Each full lap from the gate and back is 4.5 miles (all those numbers are approximate). The "A" group can usually ride in the area of 20 to 24 mph and do 4 laps. The "B" group is a bit slower, probably averaging 15 to 18 mph. The rest of us are the "C" group and can do however many laps as we can get in before it is time to leave the park. I am the slowpoke of the group and usually do 2 laps. Nobody gets left behind in this group. We have riders of all ages and abilities so I am sure you can fit in someplace. On the last lap that we are doing, we stop at the pavilion at the far end of the park to have some time to get to know each other and take some photos to put on the Meet-Up page, before finishing the last lap and heading back to the meet-up site as a group. Please be sure to wear a helmet and have lights on your bike (white headlight and red flashing rear light) for safety. Our ride is sponsored by Lee's Locksmith and Bicycles, located on the corner of US 1 and Hayes Street in Hollywood. There is parking in the rear of the store. If you need any accessories for your bike or need a bike tune-up or repairs, be sure to patronize Lee's and let them know you ride with the group.

What we're about

Revised 11-16-13

The ride offers a mid week ride. We provide a ride for all speed averages. 12-16mph, 16-20 and 20 plus. All riders welcome! If you're looking for encouragement or looking to ride with experienced riders this is a good place to meet.

The ride is about 25 miles long, and takes about 2 hrs. We travel from Antonio's Pizza east parking lot to John U. Lloyd state park and ride the length of the park about 1-3 times. This ride is very safe because they allow us in after hours, so we're not as affected by traffic. We will split up into groups for longer and shorter rides when needed. Nobody gets left behind!

Hope to see you there!
