🍺 Beer Social for Vancouver Legal Hackers
Our Beer Social is a casual gathering of people involved/interested in legal hacking - lawyers, coders, students, entrepreneurs and policymakers. The vibe is more hangout than event and provides people with a regular time and location to talk shop, discuss news, ask questions and and meet others in the legal hacker community they may only see occasionally at more formal events. We’re meeting 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Steamworks, 375 Water St, Gastown. See you there! Tom Martin, Co-Founder Vancouver Legal Hackers

What we're about

Interested in the future of legal services, legal education and legal technology? The legal industry is changing rapidly and these changes present exciting opportunities and daunting challenges for industry members. We'll meet once a month to explore new ideas and build a thriving legal hacking community in Vancouver.

Legal Hackers is a global movement of lawyers, policymakers, technologists, and academics who explore and develop creative solutions to some of the most pressing issues at the intersection of law and technology. Through local meetups, hackathons, and workshops, Legal Hackers spot issues and opportunities where technology can improve and inform the practice of law and where law, legal practice, and policy can adapt to rapidly changing technology.

What is legal hacking? Read Dan Lear's ABA article (http://www.americanbar.org/content/newsletter/publications/law_practice_today_home/lpt-archives/2014/january14/hacking-the-law.html) on the legal hacking movement.
