What we're about

We are a coalition of individuals and organizations promoting conservation and community-based actions to create a healthy, more sustainable environment for birds and people in the Lehigh Valley. We work in cooperation with the Bird Town initiative of Audubon Pennsylvania, http://pa.audubon.org/bird-town

For more events with a focus on birds, please visit the Meetup page of Lehigh Valley Audubon Society (http://www.meetup.com/Lehigh-Valley-Audubon-Society).

Want to get involved? We need help with planning and holding Bird Town events! You don't need a high level of knowledge about birds, plants, or nature - just an interest in helping and learning. Please email bcmalt@ptd.net

** Registration with Mariton is required - see link below** . Join Mariton naturalists for this annual, citizen-science effort to identify and count the pollinators that thrive in the meadows of Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary. Conducted every year since 1991, the Butterfly Census is an important tool to gauge the health of habitats for fritillaries, hairstreaks, duskywings, swallowtails, satyrs, skippers, whites, yellows, and more. ** Registration via Mariton is required: https://natlands.org/event/butterflycensus-mariton-2019-0629/
