LVCC Ride Calendar

This event starts with a 30 mile bike ride followed by a hike around the lake and then boating on the lake (BYOB - bring your own boat). The bike ride will be a typical LVCC ride with a sign in sheet for the ride.
I will ride a B pace or so but others are welcome to ride faster or slower.
Following the ride you can hike around the lake, have some lunch (again, bring your own) and then stay for a sail or paddle.

Make sure this is a good distance/elevation and pace for you per the LVCC Ride Classifications at the bottom of this webpage.
You are welcome to ride at different pace or post a companion ride. Depending on attendance, several groups of varying speeds are likely to form.

Check here at 8:00 before you leave for the ride in case of any changes.

You should have the route you plan to ride on your cycling computer or phone. If you do not have this capability and need a paper cue sheet, you can print one from the Ride with GPS route page.

Everyone must wear a helmet and individually sign the LVCC Waiver Release at the start, to ride with us. Joining the LVCC Meetup group does not make you a member of LVCC. If you ride more than 1 time on a LVCC ride, you should join LVCC before riding again. Join here.

Barn Gravel -
Gravel, farm roads, dirt paths, and singletrack… You can ride all that in 1 day right here in Berks county!**
This ride is all about the Social. We start and finish at the Garber's Barn with friends, good food & tasty beverages.
This isn't your typical “gravel grinder” because this region of PA has a wide range of terrain including gravel, trails, quieter paved roads, and shortcuts through the woods to have some fun on! However, if you're not into riding singletrack with drop bars we can provide an option to get around that section.
Barn Gravel is not a race: It is a great time with good people and enough challenging terrain to make you earn some good food & drink. Last year the event got a little warm, and the team is working to bring back the “classic” Barn Gravel vibe in 2026, and possibly switching up the route (sneak peek).
The full route is planned to be around 60-miles and include a wide variety of “gravel” to take on at a casual, or excited, pace. A shorter option will also be available.
There will be 1-2 Aid Stations, that will also include some barn-games and feats of strength to add to the day's antics.
Schedule:

• Arrive between 7:30 and 8:30
• Ride-Roll Out between 9:00-9:30
• Finish Up between 2:00-4:00
• Hang Out as long as you like!

Plan to stick around after for the Barn Party!
We'll finish the day with beers, tasty food, music, bonfire, and post-ride camaraderie in the Garber's Barn. Bring your lawn chair and favorite koozie for this part — the after-ride party has a history of turning out to be better than the ride party.
Barn Gravel supports Helping Harvest, and we will ask every participant to bring a food item or cash donation during registration to support local hunger efforts and farmers.
