What we're about

Over the couse of the COVID pandemic the Lehigh Wheelman have been diligent in adhering to the recommendations and mandates.  With the sharp reduction in COVID cases we are modifying the guidelines posted here to conform with the CDC recommendations.

According to the CDC, counties where most of our rides take place are in the low transmission category.  The CDC guidelines now state the following for counties in the low category.

> The rules previously posted are no longer necessary.  If things change we will make necessary modifications
>
> Riders are encouraged to consult the CDC guidelines here.

Wednesday Morning Virtual Ride with Rouvy

Link visible for attendees

Since weather doesn't look good for outdoor ride on Wednesday, I will lead this virtual Rouvy Ride. We will ride the Rouvy ride listed in the photo above: Grand Canyon | Arizona | USA

If you have previously participated in virtual rides using Rouvy and Discord, you know what to do.

If you are new to this, then your first step should be to read the following document:
http://lehighwheelmen.org/files/documents/LWA_Virtual_Rides.pdf

Prior to the start of the ride, I will update this post with the name of a Rouvy route that we will ride for the day. Launch the Rouvy application and search for the name of the route that I post. After entering the ride, choose the warmup option. This will put your avatar on the start line so that you can wait for the other riders to join you. You’ll see a list of them on the left side of the screen. When everyone is ready, the ride host will announce the start of the ride, just as they would on an in-person ride.

If you plan to connect to the other riders using Discord, you should do this before joining the Rouvy ride, as Rouvy only runs in full screen mode on a PC. Join the LWA Discord room at https://discord.gg/5hFczJU54Z. Click on the voice channel “LWA Ride #1” to join the chat.
