We can be that small group that helps change the world, starting in our community!

We volunteer together at various local non-profit organizations. We have many people willing to Lend a Hand, and many organizations all around the Tampa Bay area that need our help. We bring them together for the benefit of all!

We help organizations that help our neighbors and our community.

Please read the Terms of Membership for additional information before joining the group:

Children's Home - Kinship Tampa

The Children's Home

People have always cared for their relatives' children; however, most have done so with little formal help. Lack of assistance may lead to family stress that impacts the entire family. The Kinship Care program at The Children's Home is intended to provide support to relative caregivers by helping families access necessary services, expanding family support systems, and ultimately reducing stress to promote family stability. How we will LEND A HAND This is the monthly support group meeting to offer information, education and support for relative caregivers. We usually help serve dinner to the families then entertain the children while their family members are attending the educational sessions. They have some games and activities for the children, but feel free to bring something for them if you'd like! The volunteers are welcome to eat dinner with the families if you arrive before the food has been put away. We always have a great time at the Kinship events. The Children's Home, the families, and especially the children greatly appreciate our help and the fun things we bring for them! Schedule: 6pm - 8pm Please be on time since there are very few volunteers preparing to serve dinner. What to bring: • Please wear conservative clothes, you'll be playing with children. • A warm smile and generous attitude! • Personal Items - Please do not bring valuables or bags to the event, you will need your hands free to help! • If you would like to donate more than your time, please feel free to 'chip in' and help cover our Meetup fees by going to our main page, click the gray box that says 'You're a member', choose 'Manage profile' from the drop-down list, then you will find the green 'chip in' button on the left when you scroll down. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Directions and Parking: Click the link in the location above to see a map to the event location. Children need love. Families need security. That's why they are charged with being the source of strength and opportunity for children and families. Through their nationally recognized residential treatment program to their Family Support and Resource Centers, they have impacted the lives of many who rely on support and care during times of uncertainty. Over the years, they have helped more than 6,000 children realize their dream of a family, and they have cared for more than 25,000 children in the community. Trinity Cafe

Trinity Cafe

Help feed the homeless in style! Trinity Cafe is a non-denominational charity whose mission is to restore a sense of dignity to our homeless and hungry neighbors and nourish the human spirit through acts of acceptance, compassion, love and respect. They serve a well-balanced meal in a restaurant-like setting that restores some of the dignity they have lost weathering tough times. They believe a kind word that soothes a hurting heart is just as important as the good food that eases hunger. They serve free meals to homeless, poor and anyone wishing to receive a meal. The meals are prepared by a professional chef and served by volunteer waiters. The guests sit at cloth covered tables set with china dishes and silverware. They are asked for nothing in return - no mandatory religious services or counseling or work. How we will LEND A HAND We will help provide a meal at the cafe by hosting, serving the guests, or bussing the tables. We may also help with cleaning, preparing for the next day's meal, and any other way they need our help. While helping with the work, we are requested to take turns sitting and visiting with the guests, as if they are guests in our home.
