PAGOSA SPRINGS DANCE MEETUP!
Make plans to join us for a dance meetup in June 2016! Make new friends that share the love of dancing as the 'Learn to Dance' meetup group from Colorado Springs joins the 'Let's Dance Pagosa' meetup group for a weekend full of dancing, socializing, & going out-to-eat together!
Description: This dance vacation features four workshops, a Saturday evening social dance, and meetups at local restaurants.
Cost: $50 per person, which includes four dance workshops and a Saturday evening social dance. (Schedule below.) Pay upon arrival. Best deal!
A la carte option: $15 per workshop, per person, and $10 per person for the Saturday evening social dance.
Weekend Workshops and Saturday Social Dance: All of the workshops and the social dance will be held at the Pagosa Lakes Property Owners' Association (PLPOA) Clubhouse located at 230 Port Ave. Pagosa Springs, CO 81147. This is a wonderful place for dancers. It is a beautiful building with a huge dance floor!
Each dance workshop will have two levels of classes that are taught simultaneously, one group for beginning level students and the other group for experienced dancers. Richard will teach one level and Debbie the other. You can pick which group best meets your level and, also, what you would like to learn.
Accommodations: Out-of-towners will make arrangements for their own accommodations. Scroll down for suggestions on where to stay.
Group meetups at local restaurants: We will be meeting-up at different restaurants. You will order off the menu and pay on-your-own. Advance reservations are required for each dinner venue. All reservations need to be made through Wayne Lauffer, if you are from the Pagosa Springs area. In order to get an accurate count and ensure there is no overlap, please, do not call the restaurant directly to reserve your space.
NOTE: Each restaurant will be adjusting their wait-staff & table set-up specifically for our group, so advance RSVPs are very important. Plan accordingly and, please, no last-minute cancellations! We want our group to have a good reputation by respecting the restaurant's need to plan for adequate wait-staff & tables without last-minute changes, so our group will be welcome back next year.

SCHEDULE
June 3, 2016 (Friday)
We will begin our dance weekend by meeting-up for cocktails & dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner, we will go to the PLPOA clubhouse for a dance workshop, followed by time to practice what you have learned. Here is the schedule:
5:00pm Welcome to Pagosa! Meetup for cocktails and dinner. Location TBD. Order off the menu & pay-on-your-own. Make reservations, in advance, through Wayne.
7:30pm: Registration & warm-ups at the PLPOA clubhouse!
7:45pm-9:00pm: West Coast Swing Workshop!
9:00pm-9:30pm: Practice what you have learned!
June 4, 2016 (Saturday)
Dance workshops start at noon at the PLPOA Clubhouse and are followed by cocktails & dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner, we'll all return to the clubhouse for a social dance in the evening!
12:00pm-12:25pm: Check-in & warm-ups
12:30pm-1:45pm: Salsa-Rueda Workshop
2:00pm-3:15pm: Waltz and Foxtrot Workshop
3:30pm-4:45pm: Rumba Workshop
5:30pm Out-to-eat. Location TBD.
8:00pm-10:00pm: Saturday Social Dance! A wide variety of music will be played, so you can practice everything you have been learning!

Condos:
If you'd like to rent a condo, here are two options to check out. These condos are usually always in a location that is very convenient for meeting-up for our workshops, social dances and going out-to-eat at the local restaurants.
Wyndham Extra Holidays
Many of our meetup members look forward to staying in a Wyndham condo because the prices are very reasonable and include extras, such as a full kitchen, separate livingroom, one or more bedrooms, and most have jetted tubs, good views, etc. However, we do want to let you know ahead of time that Wyndham's primarily purpose is to sell timeshares, so be prepared to have a marketing person try to set up a time for you to learn more about what Wyndham offers. Of course, all you have to do is firmly decline that you want to sit in on a timeshare presentation, but just wanted to let you know in advance what to expect when you check-in.

'Let's Dance Pagosa' Meetup Group: Argentine Tango Workshop!
If you are arriving earlier or staying later, check out the Let's Dance Pagosa meetup calendar for more dance opportunities! We will be offering an additional Argentine tango workshop on Tuesday, May 31st from 7pm-9pm at the PLPOA Clubhouse. There is no cost if you pay $50 for the Weekend Workshops and Saturday Social Dance at this workshop. A la carte cost is $15 per person.
About Richard & Debbie Love
Richard and Debbie are both DVIDA certified dance instructors (Dance Vision International Dance Association). Currently, they reside in Colorado Springs and operate a dance business called 'Dancing with Love' and, also, this 'Learn to Dance' meetup group. They are former residents of Pagosa Springs where they started a dance club in 2000 that is now known as 'Let's Dance Pagosa.' To continue to support dancing in this beautiful SW corner of Colorado, Richard & Debbie started a meetup group for this club, which is organized by a local resident, Wayne Lauffer. Every year, they return to their hometown of Pagosa Springs to hold a special series of dance workshops where dancers from all over Colorado can meetup to dance, socialize & vacation too!
