Join us for a spectacular evening of classical music at one of London's most impressive concert halls.

The Academy of St Martin in the Fields Orchestra was founded by Sir Neville Marriner in 1958. Tonight the Academy is joined by two illustrious musicians from the New York Philharmonic.

• Music Director of the New York Philharmonic, the renowned Alan Gilbert

• Dynamic Israeli pianist Inon Barnatan, for whom the role of Artist in Association was specially created in New York. Inon performs tonight following his debut with the Academy at last year's sellout concert in the City of London Festival.

Alan Gilbert was elected to The American Academy of Arts & Sciences in 2014, was honoured with the Foreign Policy Association Medal in 2015, and is nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction of the New York Philharmonic's acclaimed production of Sweeney Todd, broadcast on PBS's Live from Lincoln Center in 2015.

Barnatan’s critically acclaimed discography includes Avie and Bridge recordings of the Austrian composer’s solo piano works, as well as Darknesse Visible, which scored a coveted place on the New York Times Year's Best list. His Chopin and Rachmaninoff duo sonatas album, recorded with cellist Alisa Weilerstein, will be released by Decca Classics next season.
