This MeetUp Group has been evolving to become more focused on sailing as live-aboard lifestyle, cruising long-distances and in remote-areas.
Husband and wife team David & Leanne started out with sailing in the Med, with sail-training in the UK and the Canaries, but are now sailing further afield. In 2016 we bought our boat, a 2003 AMEL Super Maramu, and since then have been setting PERIGEE up and shaking-down whilst exploring the US East Coast, the Caribbean and the Central Americas. Now PERIGEE is being prepared for a Pacific crossing during April and May 2019 to the Marquesas.
The MeetUp is being more focused towards Crew Calls for those wishing to join PERIGEE as crew, to explore and adventure in the South Pacific.
We will for the time being still support sailing activities closer to the UK.
My partner (yachtmaster offshore) and myself (Day skipper) are organising a week sailing in Scotland, leaving from the Isle of Skye and, weather permitting, heading towards the outer Hebrides or even maybe St Kilda
We still have 1 or 2 slots in the boat and would be delighted to meet new people during this trip!

Join David & Leanne, owners of the Australian-flagged AMEL Super Maramu "PERIGEE", to cross the Pacific from Panama to French Polynesia.
At 3,850 nautical miles, this is one of the world's longest ocean passages, expected to take between 3 and 6 weeks.
Skill Level: Salty sailors with knowledge, skills and understanding to at least RYA Competent Crew. Sailing experience: enough to understand what is like to live for extended periods passage-making on-board a sailing yacht.
This is no free-ride, so you should expect to pull-your-weight and pay-your-way. Contact the organiser, or RSVP, for further information.
