Let's Drive to a Wild Wild Wadi

When we think of natural pools, springs and wadis, we often end up thinking of Oman. Although there are a few good ones in the UAE too, but with drawbacks, e.g.
- Hatta Wadi - crowded; littered; PP/ ID & insurance hassles;
- Wadi Wuraiyyah - closed for 2 years.

So, Let's Drive to a new wadi with a permanent pool, which is fairly easy to access and not yet spoilt by the mad rush of people!

This wadi has so much to offer that it's hard to be there and not indulge in some form of activity. So, for those who love a splash, get ready to refresh your soul with a dive and swim in the sparkling fresh waters of the wadi. For those who would like to keep their hair dry, there's plenty of self-exploration and path-finding to be done, as we trek through the wadi's beautiful meandering trails, so don't forget to pack your trekking gear and comfortable shoes. Or, if you are one who gets an adrenaline rush by pedalling on a bike, feel free to bring your cycle and go wheeling around the spectacular mountain tracks.

We dedicate this Drive to be a "clean-up drive", so there will be no barbecue, bonfire, etc. We request you to bring a few trash bags along to help clean the wadi by carrying some litter back.

The drive will start at 11:30 am from the ADNOC gas station on Kalba Road (Maliha Road) and should be over by the sunset.

You don't need a 4WD to reach the wadi entrance, so it will be a good opportunity for folks to be the master of their own wheels until we reach the entrance to the wadi. There, we will park the sedans and hop into the 4WD cars (subject to space availability) and let the wadi adventure begin.
