Always fun doing activities and in my experience of mental health and general anxiety issues, doing activities are the best way to take your mind off things, especially negative and stressful thinking.

As always, I tell my attendees that they don't have to feel pressured into doing anything which includes making conservation or even playing bowling itself lol. There are plenty of other things to be done which include having a go on the arcade machines, playing pool or simply eating and having something to drink.
Being a Sunday, it tends to be fairly quiet so we shouldn't have problems unwinding, just bring enough money to participate in the activities and any food or drink you wish to purchase.
