Acting for beginners and returners - learn to improvise

Brockley Rise Centre

This informal and entirely practical acting course is open to complete beginners and those who wish to improve their existing skills. On this course you will be introduced to a range of fun, inclusive and hilarious drama exercises, working together to build confidence for performing on stage without a script and learning to welcome the prospect of the unplanned. Introduction to screen writing

On this course you will learn to identify the form and structure of a good short film through reading, sharing ideas and group discussion. You will exercise your craft through a range of writing exercises and you have the opportunity to develop your own short film script. Home furnishing for all Abilities

Adult Learning Lewisham

On this course you will learn or develop your knowledge of a variety of soft furnishing techniques and projects that may include how to make cushions, blinds, curtains, tiebacks and pelmets, as appropriate to your starting point and personal choice. You will be shown the correct way to measure and estimate fabrics, layout, cutting, making-up, pattern matching and hand finishing techniques. Complete beginners will begin with making a cushion of your choice, and over 10 weeks you should expect to complete a piped cushion with a zip or button fastening, and a small lined roman blind. Learners with more experience will work on more complex projects of their choice. his workshop style class is designed for learners of all abilities who wish to develop their soft furnishing skills in a dynamic, encouraging and professional environment.
