What we’re about
This is a SOCIAL networking group of progressive/liberal minded women, age 50+, based in Chapel Hill/Durham/Cary and the overall Triangle region. We may gather at a member's house, a restaurant, or some other public space, once a month via potlucks, brown bags, or catered food to share, learn, exchange ideas, and make new friends. Discussion topics include current events (local, national, international), books, films, and/or podcasts - any and all common themes relevant to Democrats, Progressives, Liberals, and Women. Share whom you advocate for, where you volunteer, what you are listening to, maybe you work for or are volunteering with an organization we all would like to learn more about. Enjoy a gathering of like minded women where we all speak freely and openly about topics that affect us as women, as citizens, and as Americans.
Please Read Attendance Policy
For the courtesy of our membership and especially those that may be on a Waitlist, we enforce a “Two Strike” attendance policy for our dinner events. If you are a “No Show” or a “Late Drop” (dropping same day as event) more than once, the organizer reserves the right to move you to the Waitlist (if there is one). So be courteous, sign up for events you plan to attend and update your RSVPs in a timely fashion when your plans change.
To maintain your membership, a minimum attendance of 2 events per year is mandatory. Attendance is kept for all events. The year is a calendar year or within 12 continuous months of a member's join date, if the join date is anytime from Mar 2020 to May 2021.
COVID-19 Announcement
We expect all members attending events, whether indoors or outdoors, at a person's home or in a public space such as a restaurant, to be FULLY vaccinated and boosted and follow either the hostess's or establishment's health guidelines, eg. mask wearing. It is up to each member individually to decide what their own personal safety comfort level is, when RSVP'ing to events.
