What we’re about
To be a member of this group, you should be Liberal and a Baby Boomer (born 1946 through 1964).
This group has been created to allow liberals to have a space of their own in what often seems to be a sea of midwestern conservatism - a place where we can relax and enjoy each others company. And if a liberal issue is raised, the conversation can be peaceful without rancorous debate.
The Liberal Boomer group is intended to be an affinity group.
We grew up in times - rather like now - of extreme polarization that shaped our world view. If you are a liberal-boomer and want to spend time with same, enjoy relaxed pleasant conversation and explore the Saint Louis region, then join us.
Most of our events are in St. Louis City or surrounding (although we are not opposed to venturing further afield). All our organizers appreciate the show of support by members that attend events. When RSVPing to an event, please make every attempt to show up. If you cannot attend, please change your status as soon as possible, even if the event has started, so that organizers won't be saving you a seat or looking for you. Having a accurate headcount is important.
Liberal Boomers members pay NO JOINING/MONTHLY FEES! To join, fill out your profile page in full including a recent photo of yourself. The photo helps us recognize you. Thanks.

See all- Whitaker Music Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden4344 Shaw Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63110, St. Louis, MO
Let’s kick off the summer at one of our favorite concert series, the Whitaker Music Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden-- 4344 Shaw Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63110. On the bill is St Louis native, vocalist and guitarist, Vince Martin who blends soul, blues, funk, jazz, pop and rock.
Music begins at 7 p.m. Last entry at 8:15 p.m.
IMPORTANT: This is a long description of the event. PLEASE read to the end. Free admission begins at 5 p.m.; no tickets are required. I’ll arrive at 5pm to stake out our spot. Look for me near the large tree, stage left of the bandstand close to the sidewalk. I’ll be holding a pink and green botanical garden umbrella.
It would be great if some of you join me at 5pm to help with that. (Plus if you come early you’ll have a better shot at parking.)
Feel free to bring your own food and beverages. Or you can purchase items at food booths in the garden. (There is no list of what will be sold at the food booths in the park.)
There is an extensive list of prohibited items. For example, no glass of any kind, no pets, weapons or smoking products of any kind. (Consult the website below for the complete list.) Bags will be checked and visitors with prohibited items will not be admitted.
