This is an informal drinks event to discuss Libertarian theories, recent news and events in general, the state of libertarianism in the various parties and in the culture.
The event will be addressed by Ian Dunt editor of politics.co.uk on "Liberalism and Faith" as well as the welcome received by other kinds of personal convictions in a liberal society. Ian has been following (http://www.politics.co.uk/blogs/2017/06/15/the-illiberal-persecution-of-tim-farron) the way in which Tim Farron was attacked (and outsed) on issues related to his private faith.
The formal session runs from 7:30 to 8:45pm.
Babes in arms have been welcomed although the environment is not tailored for them in any way and may not be entirely safe. No vetting of adults takes place. Children must be gone by 9pm, which is pub policy.
6 o'clock dining club.
The Sedan Room is available from 1800 for eating and there is an informal "dining club" at that time. Food should be ordered upstairs, but may be also ordered downstairs if you tell them where you are.
Ordering food is encouraged right up to 7 o'clock and after the Q&A too. Kitchen closes at 9pm. The pub menu (http://www.taylor-walker.co.uk/pub/two-chairmen-public-house-westminster/c0677/menu/) has good traditional options for most tastes.
