What we're about

We're a laid back Motorcycle Riding Group looking for others who just enjoy safe group riding, seeing amazing sites, fun roads, going to events, Half and Full day local rides, overnighters, 2-3 day journeys, eating at some of the most amazing hidden places most don't even know exist and the best part is meeting and hanging out with great people and new and old friends. Join us and be part of a awesome riding family!

We're hosted out of Anaheim, California by Lifestyle Cycles Motorcycle Supper Store and have rides all over California and journeys to other states.

All bikes and trikes/can-am's are welcome. We are all brothers and sisters that enjoy riding. We try to have rides or events every weekend and we do a pretty good job of it. We love to hear from our members about places they want to go to or have been and want to share. Our Co-Organizers want to help members plan places, roads and events they want to ride to and visit.

Sierra Nevada Mountain Passes Ride, 5 days/4 nights

Needs a location

This trip will be epic! We will have 5 full-day rides to get our wind therapy, add in lots of twisties, beautiful forests, Pacific Coast, good company with other like-minded ride enthusiasts and it's the perfect combination for a great trip!

Please read this entire ride description and “Skill Level” requirements before signing up for this event.

Here's a quick overview of the trip...

Day 1: Up 395 to Topaz Lake in Nevada. Unpack your motorcycles because this will be home-away-from-home for the next 3 nights. (420 miles, 8 hours seat time, travel time longer with breaks)

Day 2: We will ride the Monitor Pass, visit Lake Tahoe’s Emerald Bay overlook, and ride Kit Carson Pass. (250 miles, 7 hours seat time)

Day 3: We will ride Carson Pass and my (Carol) personal favorite pass of the Sierras, Ebbetts Pass which is less than 2 lanes wide but lots of fun! (250 miles, 7 hours seat time)

Day 4: Pack up our motorcycles to head towards the coast but not until hitting the breathtaking Sonora Pass. We will spend the night in Salinas. (300 miles, 8 hours seat time)

Day 5: Ride home via Highway 1 (PCH) with its twists and turns on the cliffs of the coast. (380 miles, 8 hours seat time)

Total trip is 1,600 miles. If you’re ready to have some fun, please join us. First step is to RSVP and make your hotel reservations. But please only RSVP if you are intending to go, so we can have an accurate headcount.

Regarding hotels... You will need to book your own rooms. Bill and I are staying at the following hotels:

Hotel in Gardnerville, NV: Topaz Lodge

check-in: Saturday, August 20;
check-out: Tuesday, August 23
(3 nights)

We booked by calling[masked] for an average of $119 plus fees and taxes per night.

Hotel in Salinas, CA: Laurel Inn Motel @ 801 W. Laurel Drive in Salinas, CA

check-in: Tuesday, August 23;
check-out: Wednesday, August 24
(1 night)

We booked through Hotels.com for $110 plus fees and taxes.

This should be a really fun trip!

Intermediate to Advanced Riders ONLY due to the technical nature of the twisty mountain roads.

Experienced Group Riders ONLY. You must have ridden with LCRG before; this cannot be your first ride with this group.

Sweep will assist in emergencies and breakdowns but will not wait for stragglers. We will not have a chase van or trailer so you need to have your bike in tip-top condition with AAA tow service paid up.

For your safety and that of the group, we require that you show up with a DOT-approved helmet, full tank of gas, and tires in good condition.
