18 to 35 - Speed friending! No pressure way to make friends! Hosted/ £5 to £15
Please come and join us as we help you make new friendships with both ladies and gentlemen without any of the pressure, shyness and nervousness normally associated with meeting new people. This is for ladies and gentlemen between the ages of 18 to 35. (It is fine if you are a few years either side of these parameters) Speed friending is like an icebreaker but with a very different approach. Instead of having a large group icebreaker we arrange for our members to interact with each other one-on-one. This gives you an easy and convenient way to meet new people in a way that completely dissolves awkward social barriers. This is NOT speed dating and so you will be meeting both ladies and gentlemen in mixed groups. The intent is to create friendships. One of the greatest benefits is that it tears down the walls of shyness. Many people have deep-seated anxiety when it comes to talking to people they don’t know. They may even be intimidated by certain group members. But when you push outside your comfort zones, this speedy connection opens up the door to allow you to easily communicate and work together with other members of the group. Speed friending allows you to identify other people with common interests. The conversations that take place don’t have to be deep, profound or even scripted; simply discussing likes and dislikes may lead to future friendships. Often, people want to make new friends, but they aren’t quite sure how to go about it. With speed friending, you can start pursuing that goal without appearing socially awkward or desperate. Even if no lasting friendships result from the activity, at least you have learned more about each other and become more comfortable with each other. In fact, you might be surprised at how much people are willing to socialize when they are encouraged with a game. Speed friending is the easiest and most effective way to build relationships in a short amount of time. Here’s how it will be set-up: 1) Half of the group (mixed gender) will be in a fixed place and the other half of the group (mixed gender) rotates. (We like people to stand as that delivers greater energy and also gives much greater visibility to body language.) Every 5 minutes or so, the rotating group will move to another person. During these intervals, each pair of people will get the opportunity to talk, develop a connection and possibly even spark a friendship. The time limits aren’t set in stone but it will be about 3-5 minutes. 2) Joanna will be hosting the evening and she will organize the speed friending. She will be blowing the whistle or giving another sign to indicate that you should move to the next person. 3) We will meet from 6.30pm onwards. You should get yourself a drink and also any food from the bar downstairs before you get upstairs. (Or you will have to walk back down later) 4) The Speed friending part will start exactly at 7:30 pm onwards and continue till about 9:30 pm with a couple of comfort breaks. (If you are late then you can join the speed networking but you may not be able to meet as many people as you may have otherwise). 5) You can contact Joanna on[masked] on the day if you have any problem finding our room. (Booked for Joanna / Meetup) 6) Please be aware that over 75% of attendees are attending for the first time and over 95% of attendees come alone. You will not be alone. Anna and Joanna will welcome you and help you get comfortable. -------------------- EVENT COST: Tickets in advance: (Please click the Eventbrite link below) First 20 tickets - £ 5 each (plus charges) Next 20 tickets - £10 each (plus charges) CASH at the door on the day-£ 15 each -------------------------- This meetup is organized with Please watch the video below to see why you should attend our meetups.

What we're about

This is the group for you if you are looking for social networking and fun times at social events involving culture, art, history, music, adventure, dancing, walking, networking and the outdoors. This is also the group for enjoying dining out and nightlife with singles as well as couples, professional networking and if you were interested in dating and relationships.

London can be lonely place. It can be even more isolated if you are single, a bit older or if you are new in the city and do not have any friends or social network in the city.

We want to bring together like minded people of culture who prefer to socialise at fun (and at times unusual) events, ideally in relatively quiet locations including bars, restaurants and parks where people can meet each other and establish connections and friendships beyond mere acquaintances.

Our meetups are carefully organised to ensure we are small enough in number so that we remember most names and exchange numbers with many by the end of it. We will also try and maintain a reasonable balance between women and men at our events. We will strive to offer a comforting and warm group which is international in outlook with a high degree of sensitivity and warmth.

You may be single, attached, married, separated or a grand dad! (this is not a group exclusively for singles either and couples are very welcome!) Please be open to new friendships and experiences. We could go to bars, restaurants, cruises, trips, concerts, sports events, holidays, dances and parties, yoga etc. and so the meetups will be diverse.

This club will be about friendships and connections but above all having fun together with friends.

I look forward to meeting you at one of our meetups soon

With our best wishes and regards

Anna and Dan Raj
