Want to understand Linux? Want to master the operating system that powers the Internet? Worried about installing it?

Don’t want to re-partition your hard drive? Running a Mac? Windows 7 or later?

This special free workshop is just for you!

This event is open to everyone, including those from non-technical backgrounds, who’d like to know more about Linux.

This short class will teach you how to install Linux under Oracle’s VirtualBox (Windows 7 will be used as the example, but it applies to VirtualBox on Linux or MacOS).

After that we will do a Linux 103 class - post installation tasks, the Command Line Interface (CLI) and proper package management under Linux (i.e. how to correctly install software under Linux).

These are completely free classes, but you MUST do the prerequisites before attending (they are simple and detailed below).

Know of anyone who has unused equipment (old laptops, SSDs, hard drives, etc.)?

We want to re-purpose and re-use things, getting Linux laptops into the hands of aspiring developers. We have given away 4+ nice Linux laptops to #womenintech (for free) and want to do more.

Your ideas are welcome, please contact Brian at BrianLinuxing@gmail.com if you can help.
