This meetup is going to be much more practical than the last ones. In this one, we will talk about the current state of Design Ops and the evolution of our Design Tools, and we will even count with the special presence of the Framer team, that will show us their latest release of Framer X. If you don't know what Framer is, you should definitely check out the sexy short video and be blown away: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foSkKVtHkM4

Also, we will be talking about Design Ops, the larger theme that has been thrown around for some time now as something we, as Designers, should be aware of, especially if we work in a larger Design Team and really feel the pain of the lack of processes and methodologies to coordinate everybody and accomplish our everyday tasks as Designers.

So, for us to get more into that, let's get together once again next Thursday, November 15th, at Farfetch offices in Lisbon, starting at 18:30. We will have 3 speakers and a panel discussion afterward and the usual snacks and drinks as well.

Here is the speaker list:

Product Design & Evolution of Tools by Alexander Artsvuni, Principal Designer at Farfetch

Alexander is currently a Principal Designer at Farfetch specializing in mobile app design. He is originally from South Caucasus — Armenia, Yerevan. He has lived, studied and worked as a designer in Moscow and California. He then moved to the UK to do a post-grad in Visual Communication. Over the last year, he has enjoyed organizing regular design meetups and working with designers in London, Lisbon, and Shanghai doing his bit to bring the Global design community together.

Design Ops: Effective Design at Scale by Sónia Gomes, Lead Product Designer at Prozis

Sónia is a tenacious product designer, mentor, and maker. For the past 14 years, she has been passionately designing with awesome people at awesome companies like Devscope, Betfair, Blip, Tigerspike, and Net-A-Porter. Currently, at Prozis, she is looking after the product design team aiming to influence and scale the design culture. She focuses on implementing and spreading a DesignOps mindset. Sónia is also a trainer at Edit and mentor at The New Digital School. She is a member of the Design Leadership Forum by InVision.

A Unified Creative Process by Aroa Gil Bo, Strategic Design Partnerships at Framer and Edoardo Mercati, Product Designer at Framer

Aroa is responsible for Strategic Design Partnerships at Framer. She works with teams to optimize their design to production workflows by integrating Framer X. When not learning React, you can find Aroa running free in nature. Edoardo is a Product Designer from Italy, working on the Framer app alongside its website and marketing initiatives. Prior to that, he designed a mobile-only banking app (bunq) and a large scale design system for FinTech (Backbase). When not drawing rectangles in Framer, you’ll find him on his bike getting lost in the Dutch countryside.

Panel Discussion: The Designer of the Future by Nicholas Mandelbaum, Product Designer

Nicholas spent the last ten years learning what moves and motivates people, five years of which in our lovely Lisbon. Whoz, his HRTech startup, is building an AI to help people and organizations understanding and improving their skills set.
