Details
Ryan Trinkle presents Reflex, a library for Functional Reactive Programming (FRP) in Haskell.
FRP is a radically new paradigm for writing interactive software: Instead of writing event loops or callbacks, programmers compose interactive applications using pure functional programming techniques, such as map and reduce.
The unique design of Reflex gives it the power and flexibility necessary to build large, complex applications while retaining the composability and maintainability at which traditional functional programming excels.
Ryan Trinkle is a founding partner at Obsidian Systems, a software consultancy that uses FRP along with other cutting-edge techniques to deliver better software faster.
