2 Members Wojciech and Dom have kindly offered to tell us about their work, see their bio's below.:-
Wojciech Pawlik – Broadway Partners.
Wojciech Pawlik is a Data Analyst for Broadway Partners (a telecom start up), where Wojciech identifies clusters of potential customers, feeds the project pipe-line, and constantly upgrades current systems/processes.
Wojciech has developed a new system to identify clusters of potential customers using a mixture of datasets, python scripts and PowerBI dashboards. Wojciech’s work helps Broadway Partners to de-risk investment by understanding the scale and characteristics of local demand.
Since he is quite new to the field, Wojciech is constantly on the look-out for self-development opportunities. Currently, he is working on a machine-vision project for automatically labelling different types of cells.
When he is not glued to the screen, he enjoys getting lost in fantasy/sci-fi books and napping. Preferably in rapid succession. You can reach him at wojciech.pawlik@broadwaypartners.co.uk.
Dominic Bisset – Village Software
Dominic Bisset is a Senior BI Analyst at Village Software, where he spearheads the design of data-driven systems for reporting and analysis and trains the more-junior staff members so that they too can make the most of the data tools available.
He spends most of his time working with structured data using Microsoft’s tooling, running Extract-Transform-Load routines in SQL Server Integration Services and Azure Data Factory, loading data into an Azure SQL or SQL Server database and consuming that data with various reporting tools from Excel, Analysis Services or Power BI.
Dom studied Engineering Science at The University of Oxford, where he specialised in Electronics and Data Science. He spent his final year project working with the Mobile Robotics Group to develop a summary system that would choose and display the handful of images that give the best overview for what the self-driving vehicles had seen throughout their travels.
Outside of work Dom enjoys bouldering and board gaming. He occasionally tweets as @DominicBisset.
