Hello, fellow Pythonistas!

The last Python Meetup of the year will take place on Wednesday 23th December at 7 pm, on Zoom! This special holiday edition will venture outside of the usual Python-only content and it is safe to say it will provide valuable insight for all types of software developers, so tell your friends!

The link to the Zoom meeting will be sent to all attendees about an hour before the meetup - RSVP at least an hour before the event in order to get the link.

• Jure Čuhalev: TailwindCSS - naming is hard and what can we learn from it

TailwindCSS is a CSS framework that asks you to write your HTML with CSS classes. It seems strange in the beginning, but it's one of the hottest CSS frameworks at the moment. It speeds up frontend development and makes it easier to refactor existing code.

Broaded purpose of the talk is to have a conversation of the design and architectual decissions they've made. Reflecting on these trade-offs will provide a starting for reflecting on how you write and structure your code.

• Oto Brglez: How to over-engineer things and have fun? (feat. Andraž Sraka)

A dramatic tale about an adventure across the valleys of protocols, headaches and internet of things on a quest to build and explore modern, distributed real-time WiFi-based spying system.

Oto Brglez / @otobrglez has teamed up with Andraž Sraka / @lowk3y and the result of their collaboration is The Oracle Peak 🏔 project. The purpose of which is to explore and build real-time software needed to visualise and understand the activity and behaviour of Wi-Fi users and their devices.

During this presentation, Oto will uncover mysteries like MQTT, Kafka, WiFi mechanics and all the glue needed to make things work.
