Talk about the tech and future of Beacons

Details
Hi everyone,
We're back! It's been awhile since we last met, and there have been all kinds of interesting new developments in the location tech space. So ... let's meet up and talk about them!
Our next Meetup is scheduled for Tuesday July 15th at the Samsung Accelerator space at 30 W. 26th Street (between Broadway and 6th). We'll be talking about Beacons - one of the really exciting new technologies in this space - with Tanuj Parikh, the Senior Director of Business Operations at Estimote (http://estimote.com/). Estimote builds small wireless sensors (beacons) that can be placed in any physical environment (e.g., store, museum, hospital). The beacons communicate with apps on a consumer's mobile phone to trigger contextually relevant actions, such as personalized coupons/notifications, indoor navigation and in-store analytics for retailers. Worldwide, nearly 20,000 developers (inside startups and Fortune 500 companies alike) are building apps on top of the Estimote platform.
This should be a really good one. Whether you're a developer, an entrepreneur, or just generally interested in proximity & location, there will be many interesting things to learn here. There will be lots of time for Q&A, so bring your questions. And, of course, plenty of time to eat pizza and meet up as well!
Look forward to seeing everybody on the 15th!
Michael
ps. Do you have an Android phone (running 4.4+)? We're looking for Alpha testers, and are paying $50 for people to participate in a quick user testing survey. If you're interested, I'd love to hear from you. Email me here (https://www.meetup.com/LocationApps/message/?recipientId=6810617).
