Military Monday Group Run/Walk (1.5 to 3.0 Miles)

Logic Fitness Club

Do you struggle with the 5k distance (3.1 Miles)? If so, you are not alone. We are happy to introduce another meetup event. We honor Hampton Roads' rich military community with group run/walks themed after each branch's respective physical readiness test requirements. These events provide the opportunity to work with a little less distance on your road to increased activity and a healthier lifestyle. All fitness levels are invited to participate, no military affiliation necessary. This group meets at 7pm, we look forward to meeting you and hearing your story! The Routes: Soldier 1.5 Mile (Army Marines 3.0 Mile (Marines) Sailor 1.5 Mile (Navy) Airman 1.5 Mile (Air Force) Guardian 1.5 Mile (Coast Guard) What to bring: 1) Walking/Running Shoes 2) Weather appropriate clothing (We will not cancel runs for rain, feel free to throw on a rain jacket and join us!) 3) Reflective gear or bright clothes for visibility. This becomes more important during the winter months as days get shorter and runs take place in low light. 4) Friends and Family! What to do: 1) Participants show up between 6:30 and 6:45 to sign in for this event. If you are the first person to show up; ask the bar tender for the sign-in list. 2) Introduce yourself to runners, we're all at different fitness levels and we are all nice! 3) Listen up for a run down of the days route before take-off as the routes change each week for this run. 4) Walk or Run! As always, be confident and empowered in your fitness journey. Your pace is the best pace! (some of us like to do a light dynamic stretch at the starting line, join us if you're feeling stiff!) 5) Stay after to take a group pic with us! 6) Share about your fitness journey with fellow walkers and runners. Exchange contacts and ideas for other fitness meetups. Take part in the military themed games our host has in store, if you have time! 7) Get home safely to meet another day!
