Is certification worth it?

Have you got a certificate to 'prove' that you know agile / Scrum / Kanban / lean / XP (delete as appropriate)? What does it give you? Do you tell people you have it? Do employers care? Does it make you feel good? Are some certificates better than others? Do you resent the re-certification fee that you have to pay every year or so?
