Machine learning (ML) predicts our online shopping preferences, recommends movies and interesting articles. Barbara will explain the essentials of ML – how it differs from conventional programming and describe some basic techniques and examples. She will demo Microsoft’s cloud-based ML platform and R to show that developers of all skills levels can take advantage of ML.
Barbara Fusinska is a Data Solution Architect with strong software development background. While working with a variety of different companies, she gained experience in building diverse software systems. This experience brought her focus to the Data Science and Big Data field. She believes in the importance of the data and metrics when growing a successful business.
SHACK15 (http://www.shack15.com) is very kindly hosting the event. It is London’s only co-working space dedicated to all things data science. Located in the heart of Shoreditch, London’s tech hub, SHACK15 offers over 30 hot desks, meeting rooms/event space and a fantastic in-house cafe/bar area.
SHACK15 can only hold 50 attendees. We typically get 200 sign-ups and 100 people actually turning up at a LBAG event - so please only sign up if you are reasonably sure you can make it.
