Discover why we chose to own our companies, and how they work!

• What we'll do
Ever wondered how a co-op functions? What are the best bits and what are the challenges? What does it feel like to work with a co-op from a client's perspective?
In this Meetup, Outlandish and Go Free Range, two founding members of CoTech, will be revealing why they chose to work as co-ops. They will present details about how each of them shares the responsibilities for running the co-op, how their business models and financial structures work.
In addition, Peter Thompson, who has acted as senior IT director of numerous private companies, including NOW pensions, a former client of Outlandish, will be discussing the issues from a corporate and client's perspective. He will raise concerns around legal liability, and give some suggestions to mitigate it.
The presentations will be followed by a discussion and an opportunity to ask questions. This event is appropriate for everyone interested in co-operatives and non-hierarchical business structures (whether you like them or not, we're always interested in hearing from dissenters!). So even if you don't work in tech, but you still have an interest, please come along. Light refreshments will be provided.
