September 2014 I - Infrastructure Automation on Windows - joint meetup

Details
Infrastructure automation with the Windows platform is now a reality. With full Windows support in both Puppet and Chef, and Windows support coming soon for Ansible, technology teams can manage heterogeneous systems of Linux/*NIX and Windows environments using the same tooling, with cross-platform code.
UPDATE: we are fortunate to be joined by Stephen Nelson-Smith (@LordCope), Chef expert and author of Test-Driven Infrastructure with Chef, Steve Thair from DevOpsGuys (@TheOpsMgr), and Owain Perry from JustGiving (@owainperry), all of whom will give talks about infrastructure automation on Windows.
UPDATE 2: we will also have a talk from Milos Gajdos (@milosgajdos) on Chef-Windows-.NET deployment automation.
If you manage Windows infrastructure, you need to use infrastructure automation to reduce the time taken for changes and to reduce the risk of errors. If you have had success automating Windows infrastructure, we'd love to hear your story. Come and share experiences and frustrations with Windows infrastructure automation!
(This is a joint meetup between Infracoders London (https://www.meetup.com/Infracoders-London/) and London Continuous Delivery (http://londoncd.org.uk/))
Note: RSVPs will close 2 days before the meetup to allow security at the venue time to print security passes.
