What we're about
This is a group for anyone interested in collaborating with other data hackers on data science projects.
The goals are to get data and programming enthusiasts together, form groups and work on interesting problems or even just discuss the latest tools & techniques available to the data science community.
These will be accomplished by holding regular coding dojos in R and Python, where you can suggest any ideas to work on. We will also host quarterly Kaggle hackathons, where we spend the day working on Kaggle competitions.
If there are any other ways that you'd like to work and share your ideas and passion for data science feel free to contact the organisers.

Hi All,
We’re delighted to announce our next Data Science Hackday on Saturday 15th April 10 AM - 5 PM which will be taking place at the offices of loveholidays in Hammersmith (3 Shortlands, W6 8DA).
Big thanks to everyone at loveholidays for hosting us and providing that all important pizza for lunch!
As always, this will be an attendee-driven day of hands-on coding on any data science topic you’re interested in so please remember to bring your laptop (having a working Python or R installation ready to go is a good start!) and come ready with ideas for topics to work on.
Once again we'll be hosted by loveholidays, an online travel agency, but the choice of projects is entirely up to you. If you’re looking for inspiration, check out these Kaggle competitions at

Please don’t feel restricted by the sources mentioned here as we welcome all topics related to data science!
The structure of the day will be as follows:
• 10:00 AM – Arrive, discuss topics, form groups
• 10:30 AM – Work on selected topics
• Lunch: Pizzas - food of the data science gods!
• 4:45 PM – Lightning talks for anyone who’s interested
• 5:00 PM – Clean up
• 5:15 PM – Drinks at a nearby pub
Please be aware that, for security reasons, you will need to RSVP with your full name.
Please also register on our Slack channel http://datascienceworkshop.slack.com/ (auto-enrolment: https://launchpass.com/datascienceworkshop) so you have a convenient way to share your work with others.
Hope to see you all there!
