Nic Jackson is an Engineering Evangelist working for notonthehighstreet.com (http://notonthehighstreet.com/) a UK ecommerce startup based in Richmond West London. He has over 20 years experience working in ecommerce as a software engineer and software engineering manager he currently spends his time researching and teaching best practices for creating distributed systems. In addition to speaking events and occasionally working Nic is currently writing a book "Building Micro services in Go" which will be published by Packt early in 2017.

Building Micro services with Docker by Nic Jackson

In this talk I want to introduce to you how Micro services can enable rapid change and innovation in your software development life cycle. We will introduce the concepts of Micro services and Domain Driven Design and how these patterns can change the way you work in order for your company to remain relevant in it's marketplace. We will also take a quick look at Docker and see just how simple it is with the right tooling to create a Micro service and get it running in production.
