London DevOps AI marks a vital turning point in how we design, build, and run modern software systems. As artificial intelligence rapidly shifts from an novel add-on to a core operational engine, our community is coming together to move past the hype, share real-world practices, and address the practical challenges standing between experimental AI and production-grade engineering.
Together, we will focus on resolving key operational and cultural hurdles:

Navigating AI in Platform Engineering: Defining how Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) must evolve. We will explore how to safely integrate AI agents into deployment pipelines, environment provisioning, and automated troubleshooting without compromising system stability or security.

Tackling Code Quality and Review Bottlenecks: While AI tools dramatically speed up code generation, they can easily create downstream friction. We will address how to manage increased code velocity, maintain rigorous architecture standards, and streamline pull requests without overwhelming human reviewers.

Operational Reliability and Risk Management: Machine learning models introduce probabilistic outcomes into previously deterministic systems. We will investigate how to handle model hallucinations, ensure observability in AI-driven workflows, and implement effective governance and cost management (FinOps) around LLM usage.

Most teams get this wrong by pointing agents at infrastructure with raw API access and hoping for the best. That's gambling. Guardrails that encode how your infrastructure works make agents predictable: deterministic output from a probabilistic system. Those same guardrails capture critical knowledge, reducing bus factor to zero.Real demos, real infrastructure, real failures. Agents handle the toil. SREs focus on work that actually needs a human. "Security teams are suffering from information overload and alert fatigue. They are outnumbered by developers and the pace of change keeps accelerating. The endless list of CVEs just gets longer and longer and "AI transformation" brings with it new attack vectors and emerging risks. And now hackers come equipped with swarms of AI agents. If there is a chink in your cyber-armour an AI agent will find it and exploit it.
The pressure has never been greater. How can internal platforms help security teams? If we treat security teams as platform users, and listen to their needs, suddenly the answers come into focus. In this talk Hannah will share what she's learned from building platforms that delight both developers and security."
