Learning from Config Management: Thom May - Chef
Config Management is a go-to tool for most engineers, but there are some challenges that are better solved with a different approach. We'll look at some of those challenges, and then investigate Habitat, a new approach to application deployment, configuration and life cycle management.
7:30pm - Talk 2
Patterns to scale performance, reliability and productivity: Hamed Silatani - IG
At IG we learned that when engineering teams and management care about performance and reliability and trust their operations team, DevOps good practices become a natural consequence. The difficult part was to get people curious and care about performance and reliability in a relatively sizeable multinational organisation.
8:00pm - Talk 3
Monitoring for Microservices 101: David Gildeh - Dataloop.IO
Monitoring one application can be difficult, but scaling this up to dozens or hundreds can quickly lead to chaos. David is the CEO and Founder of Dataloop.IO and will talk about getting the basics right around monitoring microservices.
