About us

Hello! This is where we manage attendees for the Emacs London meetup. For information and resources, see emacs.london.

We welcome anyone who is interested in Emacs:

- if you use the defaults, Spacemacs, Doom, Evil or anything else
- if you're a text editor or Lisp geek, a programmer, writer, academic, or even baker
- whether you discovered Emacs last week or in 1976

We try to meet every month at a central place in London. We may or may not have a speaker depending on the meetup - either way, listening to a speaker or interacting with other Emacs users, is a lot of fun and usually a good learning opportunity.

There have been many meetups over the years in London, and a lot of people from the community have contributed. Currently it is organised by Pawel, Matt, Álvaro, Arun, Fabio. If you'd like to get involved, speak, or just have questions, send us a message here on meetup.com.

Join us for our next Emacs London meetup held at University College London, 40 Bernard Street, WC1N 1LE (room 324, 3rd floor). A projector will be available, if anyone wants to give a presentation and/or if helpful to share Emacs tips, for some collaborative debugging, etc.

We might head to a pub for a drink and/or a nibble afterward.

Emacs users of all levels welcome! Interested in Emacs but not really a user? You're more than welcome too!

Call for presentations

Fancy talking about your favourite Emacs package? Proud of your latest Emacs Lisp hack and you want to tell everybody? Anything parenthesis-related that's bugging you? There'll be a monitor waiting for you for a short presentation!
