Oleh Krehel is an applied mathematician from Ukraine, currently working in the Netherlands. He has been writing C++ for around 10 years, mostly in academia. Switched to industry 2 years ago, currently working at TomTom. Author of hydra, swiper, avy, lispy.

Donald Curtis is a former Vim user who defected to Emacs while working in academics because he wanted to learn functional programming. In 2011 he received a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has been working in industry for the past 4 years after a two year stint teaching.
