This group is for people who appreciate outstanding wines and outstanding value. We aim to hold dinners for small groups of discerning wine lovers who would welcome the opportunity to enjoy several outstanding top quality wines while enjoying dinner in delightful surroundings. Also I will schedule wine tastings and masterclasses of particular interest and value. The meetups will represent exceptional value. I am a wine enthusiast with a passion for fine wine, good food and good company.
Oliver Zeter, one of the rising stars of the Pfalz, is not your typical winemaker. A bit of a maverick, he does what he wants for the sake of pursuing perfection, as he says, "with no worries about stepping on anyone's toes but my own." Zeter first made his name as an importer of fine wines, and traveled to Italy & South Africa to work as a trained viticulturalist. On returning to Germany he worked in his family‘s wine agency before bottling his first vintage. His 'Fumé', a barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc, quickly drew praise and attention to the young estate. Menu and wines are set out below.
The cost of the dinner and wines is £75, The full meetup cost of £82 includes a £7 organiser fee to cover meetup, paypal costs etc. As this is a prepaid event there will be no refunds but you may be able to sell your place to another member of the group.
