The state of the world depends on the state of the human mind. What scope is there to use technology to improve mental wellbeing and augment the human mind, and thereby improve the state of the world?

In this London Futurists event, brain-computer interface expert Martin Dinov reviews recent progress with technology that monitors the user's mental state and provides real-time personalised feedback. Martin will also be sharing his vision for how new products can help people understand themselves and their behaviours better, in order to raise performance and enable better decision making.

== About the speaker ==

Martin received a Ph.D. from Imperial College London for work on machine learning and computational models for improving brain computer interfaces and modeling brain dynamics.

His background includes 20+ years coding, public sector AI consulting, and co-founding four startups.

Martin is co-founder and CEO of Maaind, a neurotech company dedicated to building responsible AI for understanding and improving the human mind. Maaind sees Brain Computer Interfaces, or BCIs, as the next frontier in human interaction with technology. Maaind aims to ensure a safe and trustable roadmap of BCI technologies.

Maaind have developed bio-XLP technology which combines the latest in explainable AI (XAI), sensor-technology from wearables, and brain computer interfaces, to enable new accuracies in predicting mental state (stress, emotions, tiredness, attention) from text or voice.
