Visions for 2025 and beyond

Details
Join members and friends of London Futurists in a pre-Christmas online get together, discussing different visions for 2025 and beyond:
- Which developments are likely to shape the next few years, on the personal, national, or global levels?
- Which projects would you like London Futurists to prioritise in 2025?
- What would you like to see more in 2025, and what would you like to see less?
This London Futurists Online Christmas Gathering will take place in a networking environment kindly provided by Iain Beveridge of Telepresent. To register, visit buymeacoffee.com/telepresent/extras, click on the Christmas Gathering logo, send Iain £5 (or more, if the Christmas cheer inspires you), and follow the instructions.
Note: This is an in-person online event venue. You will be able to see everyone and talk with anyone. Be prepared to switch on your camera so you can participate.
Please be aware that the Telepresent environment is designed for laptop or desktop computers. Access via a tablet or iPad is NOT supported, and access via a mobile phone works but is NOT recommended for an optimal experience. See the registration page for more advice as well as a link where you can test out your system's suitability in advance.
We'll be starting at 4pm UK time. (Click here to find out that time in different timezones.) However, the room will be open 30 minutes in advance, for you to familiarise yourself with its features and have a virtual coffee with fellow futurists.
The event will feature a combination of plenary sessions, with short talks and general moderated discussion, and table discussions on different topics, where attendees can move from table to table as time progresses - similar to how you might move around a pub or other networking venue.
Schedule:
16:00 Welcome (don't be late!)
16:05: First plenary provocation: Rohit Talwar, Global Futurist at Fast Future
16:15: Table discussions
16:25: Second plenary provocation: Mihaela Ulieru, Chief AI Alchemist at SingularityNET
16:35: Table discussions
16:45: Third plenary provocation: Peter Scott, Podcast host, AI and You
16:55: Table discussions
17:05: Plenary feedback
17:30: Informal networking continues
In the final plenary session, attendees will be welcome to share (60 seconds max) an important realisation or idea that has occurred to them during the event.
Ideally, by the end of the meeting, each of us will have changed at least part of our thinking about what we would like to see happen in 2025 and following years.
After the main event, the online hall will remain open for further socialising and networking. The consumption of alcohol is approved, but it's "bring your own"!
