Workflows for building (and testing) ReactJS Applications

In this talk we’ll build a ReactJS application from scratch using ES6 with Webpack as the developer tooling of choice. We’ll see how to configure hot loading for an optimum developer experience and also look at how we might test our application using React’s test utils and other libraries. Finally we’ll see how to use Webpack to generate a production build and even deploy our app live.

For any questions feel free to drop me a line (londonjavascript@gmail.com)

I hope to see you at the meetup!

Jack is a Computer Science graduate from the University of Bath, working as a advocate developer in London. He spends his time writing Ruby backends which are then consumed by JavaScript frontends, normally with AngularJS. In his spare time he can be found working on a number of open source projects.

Jack blogs about JavaScript at http://javascriptplayground.com/ and writes for a number of online and print publications, including Net Magazine and 24ways.

Away from the computer, Jack is normally found playing football or watching whatever TV series on Netflix he's currently addicted to.
