What this group is
This group is part of L Community, a women-only network for lesbians and bisexual women, both in real life and online.
We run relaxed events across London and online, including weekly socials, book clubs, pool night, speed friending, and virtual mingles. At most events it’s a real mix – roughly half new faces and half women who’ve been before – so you’re never walking into something closed or cliquey.
Most women come on their own. That’s very normal here, and we actively make sure you don’t feel like you’ve arrived alone. We make it easy to settle in at your own pace.
This is a female-only space. That boundary is clear and upheld at events and online. If that doesn’t work for you, this won’t be the right group.
Ages usually range from 20s through to 60s. Some women are chatty, some are quieter, some just want to sit back and see how it feels. There’s no pressure to drink, perform, or stay longer than you want.
Beyond Meetup, L Community also runs a verified app and private digital spaces. Our virtual events and online groups include women from all over the UK and internationally, so even if you’re not London-based, you won’t be the odd one out.

L Community Nights – Round Two (3 EARLY BIRD LEFT)
Big Belly Bar, Big Belly Bar (Southbank), Unit 6 & 7, 30 Stamford Street, SE1 9LQ, London, GBL Community Nights is our monthly social for lesbian and bisexual women in London. Our first night sold out, so we're back for round two.
We're taking over a dedicated area inside the Hall at the Big Belly. It's a fantastic venue with a great atmosphere and we'll have a dedicated area to ourselves for the evening.
There's also a comedy show on upstairs the same night. It's completely optional, but your ticket covers it if you fancy popping down for some stand-up. Last time a few people dipped in and out between the two, so you can catch some stand-up and come back to us without buying anything extra.Tickets

Most women come on their own. There'll be hosts on the night who introduce people and keep things moving, so you won't be left wondering what to do.We expect around 50 women to attend.
Women in our community range from their 20s to their 60s. A lot of them tell us they were nervous before their first one. You can arrive, get a drink, settle in, and just see how you feel.

Join our weekly Zoom mingle, where women from across the UK and around the world come together to chat, make friends and build genuine connections.Women usually come from their 20s through to their 60s. There is always a mix of new and returning faces, and most women join on their own. You won't feel like you've walked into an established group.
Whether you're looking to make new friends, expand your social circle or simply spend an evening around other women, you'll be very welcome.
You are welcome to keep your camera on or off throughout the event.
For safeguarding purposes, we ask new attendees to briefly switch their camera on at the start so our hosts can confirm everyone is a woman. Once that's done, you're free to turn your camera off if you prefer.

Lesbian Speed Friending – Meet Women in Real Life (8 SPOTS LEFT)

In-person speed friending night for women who want to meet other women without apps or awkward small talk.You’ll have short one-to-one chats that rotate every few minutes, followed by time to stay and talk with anyone you click with.
Most women come on their own. That’s normal here. The format takes the pressure off and makes it easy to settle in, even if you’re a bit nervous at first.
This is friending first. Anything else happens naturally.
It’s a standing event with short conversations, followed by open social time. You don’t need to prepare anything or know what to say.
You won’t be put on the spot, and you won’t be left awkwardly standing around.If you’ve been wanting to meet more women in real life, this is a good place to start.
Most speed friending events have around 25 women attending.
