OSR means all TSR editions of DnD, B/X & AD&D, Troika!, LOTFP, Sword and Wizardry, Old School Essentials, White Box, Basic Fantasy, Castle & Crusaders and anything else within the OSR / Old School Dungeons and Dragons spectrum.

You can come along if you're interested in playing a game, running a game or just hanging out.

The meetup has a simple format. We meet up, anyone who wants to pitch a game they are running does so and then we split off into groups. Those who just want to chill and chat are welcome to do so as well.

You don't need to bring a character to the game, most are created at the table.

I'm a long-time GM and will be running games at the sessions for everyone who wants to join and others, of course, welcome to run too.

If you've never played any role-playing games you're more than welcome to join. You don't need to bring anything, but if you have a pencil, some paper and a set of D&D dice that would be awesome.

The group meets fortnightly on the weekends.

There is no fee for coming, however, a hat will be passed around which you're free to donate to cover the meetup costs, with any excess used to go towards books and gaming material.

The London OSR Meet is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. The London OSR Meet is a safe space where everyone is welcome.

Rules Downloads

We use a mix of different systems and house rules however there's some links below to some core systems. Most of what we run will be some variation of the below.

B/X Essentials.

This D&D rules set comprises the Basic and Expert set of D&D from the early 80s but just reformatted into a more simple to read format. This is free to download.

Basic Fantasy

This is another variant, race and class are split in this edition and there's lots of good monster and treasure info. Really useful for GM's in particular! This is free to download.
