Susie is passionate about supporting users to get more from their data, through the most relevant analytics and impactful visualisations. Title: Creating Impact: Increasing data-driven decision making with Power BI The features and functionality of Power BI are constantly increasing, along with the skills in the community to create technically complex reports. However, is the effort that you put into developing your reports always reflected in the impact they make for your end-users? This aim of this session is to talk through my experience of applying the features of Power BI to create impactful analytics; how to ensure that all reports highlight the insight in your data, tell a story and support decision makers to make sense of the data – whether it be simple reporting or complex analytics across multiple data sets. The session will include examples of where analysis in Power BI has made a difference and why, and my top 10 tips for creating reports that will encourage business users to ask for more! What we're about

Power BI is the new service from Microsoft that is creating a real buzz in the analytics and business intelligence community. Business users can get data from almost any source, visualise it and share their insights. It also has great power under the covers to do sophisticated data preparation and modelling and build beautiful dashboards. Users can ask questions of their data with natural language and Power BI will do it's best to answer you .

This group will help you get started with Power BI. We'll offer a mix of introductory talks but we'll also have some sessions for the experts as well. Some of the events will be hands-on.

We meet monthly in Central London on a weekday evening. Please come along - you will be sure of a warm welcome from the organisers

Power BI is relatively new but already has 5 million subscribers - we'll show you why!
