The Journey From Launching a Startup Through to Introducing AI to HS2

In 2017 Dev Amratia established nPlan to introduce AI to the world of construction schedules. He uses artificial intelligence to understand how projects are executed and uses that knowledge to provide schedule certainty.
In his talk Dev will provide an overview of how he took nPlan from concept to securing agreements with 5 of the 10 largest construction companies in the UK and with HS2, whilst also developing the world's largest dataset of project schedules. He will provide insights into how he got the idea and how he got the company off the ground. He will explain some of the challenges of dealing with such a large dataset, including the need for bespoke machine learning algorithms. It promising to be a very inspirational meetup from someone with big ambitions to change the face of how projects are delivered.
