This is a group for those people who spend their days working behind the scenes of the Salesforce setup menu to configure, customise and extend the functionality of Salesforce business applications.
Whether you are a member of an in-house team or employed as an external consultant, we all have something in common. That is, keeping up to date with a continually evolving platform and the need to learn and share our experiences of best practice. Those who are not new to the world of Salesforce already know, understand, and often preach WHY Salesforce cloud benefits the businesses which use it.
The aim of this group is to bring people together to talk HOW to get the job done and deliver those benefits. The word used to identify people who carry out these tasks on the Salesforce platform is "admin", but as we all know there are many many different roles which sit behind the label.
This group is a place for us all to gather, whether the majority of our time is spent on end-user support, or business analysis, or responding to business change that needs additional validation and workflows to be created, or integrating with different platforms using 3rd party tools, the list goes on and on.
There is already a strong Salesforce community centred around London, this group aims to serve the needs of Salesforce admins in particular by providing a place to meet face-to-face and build new relationships, share personal experiences and see hands-on examples of Salesforce configuration techniques using all the features.
The group will welcome members who are new to the world of Salesforce, or who may be considering in becoming a Salesforce admin in the future. We're going to need more people in order to build all these business applications in the cloud!
