TypeScript is great for serious client and server apps, but you also use it for fun, creative projects. James has been using it to build an algorithmic art framework, Solandra, where it allows for a concise yet powerful API, that doesn't require you memorise stuff and lets you focus on the interesting parts. There will be live coding and a look at how TypeScript can make nice APIs.
