The #WPLDN is back for 2019! We also want to mention that tickets for WordCamp London 2019 are now available: https://2019.london.wordcamp.org/tickets/

This month we'll be learning about building public speaking skills to promote your business and give back to the community, as well as taking a look at the JAM (JavaScript, API and Markup) stack, combining WordPress and Gatsby.

## Promote Your Business Through Public Speaking

With the likes of WordCamp London 2019 and many other open-source events currently looking for speakers, developing your public speaking skills offers an opportunity to promote your business and share your experiences with the global WordPress community.

This will be an interactive workshop looking at the initial application process, enabling you to succeed from the start. Getting your speaker application right is the first step to getting in front of an audience.

Presented by Diane Wallace. Diane is a freelance WordPress Theme and plugin developer. She specialises in bespoke WordPress themes and is passionate about creating beautiful, responsive, user friendly designs. Diane loves developing with WordPress and being part of the amazing, inclusive and friendly WordPress community. Follow her @_dianewallace (https://twitter.com/_dianewallace)

## Gatsby and WordPress: Keeping it Cheap and Staying in Touch

This will be a live demo, where we use a free WordPress.com blog and use it to create content for a static site using Gatsby. We'll use Netlify to host the site for free. Finally, we'll show how you can automatically rebuild the site when you publish a new post on WordPress.

This is not another "let's get rid of WordPress talk", this is a way to demonstrate to clients the versatility of WordPress and it can be integrated with the cutting edge technology based around the JAM (JavaScript, API and Markup) stack.

Presented by Mark Sta Ana. Mark is a reliability engineer for Made Tech. He's been a big fan of WordPress for a very long time (it was his introduction to the LAMP stack). Follow him @booyaa (https://twitter.com/booyaa)
