★ The Sessions

✍️ - Designing for Mobile with WordPress - the Devil is in the Detail

Mobile visits to websites exceed that of visitors using desktop/laptop devices for some years now. And yet we as website designers/builders are by and large still designing for desktop first.

Don't worry, I'm not going to try to completely change you to a fully mobile first designer - I haven't done this myself. But I do want to share some simple techniques, examples and mindsets that will help you be more holistic in your designs no matter how you build your websites.

🗣 - Presented by Paul Lacey. Paul is an experienced web designer who has worked for brands such Pentagram, Getronics, GeneratePress & Church of England. As well as consulting and designing with a select few niche agencies, Paul also works freelance for the well known WordPress brand Beaver Builder.

Elsewhere Paul is co-creator of the Digital Master Dojo Podcast. Paul was also previously co-host of the award-winning WP Builds podcast, and also was briefly Managing Editor of The WP Minute where he published the most read and listened to article / podcast entitled Blocks, Boards & Fishing Reels – How Gutenberg has Divided WordPress.

Paul has an abundance mindset and is dedicated to sharing knowledge, expertise and good practice in and around design and UX. In particular, optimising for conversions, performance and mobile experience are his particular areas of focus. Follow Paul @paullacey_dgtl

✍️ - The Evolution Of WordPress Over Two Years As A Distributed Community

As a community, we've evolved, developed, and grown the world's number one CMS - and we've done this whilst not being able to come together physically. In this open discussion, you'll have your chance to share your thoughts on how this experience has been.

🗣 - Presented by #WPLDN Members. Our Open Discussions provide a chance for you to share your thoughts, opinions, and feelings on the development of WordPress over the last two years. You - the #WPLDN community - will have an opportunity to grab the mic and be heard. Follow #WPLDN @wpldn.
