Seeking London-Based Wordpress Specialist To Manage my Website

Hi everyone,

I have an existing website that I am happy with, so I'm not looking for someone to redesign it (don't get too excited)! I am looking for someone mainly:

1. To help me make changes to it that I am unable to make
2. To help me when I get stuck (I can do basic stuff like changing text, uploading images and adding links)
3. To eventually add a shopping cart and pay facility to my site as well as upload products I will eventually be creating for my clients

Your skills

  • You can modify my existing template as and when I need you to
  • You can ensure the "Headings" settings on the Theme Options page are set appropriately (my current web guy has set some to default as "bold" or capitals); I don't like this; I like to to be able to manually make a word "bold" rather than have a heading set to default to bold.

    Current predicament of my website

I currently have a web designer and he has been managing my site over the last 5 years but I think he finds it too difficult to juggle all his smaller clients with his big ones, and I'm definitely a smaller client; I tend to make changes to text, etc. every few weeks and re-vamp my site (adding pages/sub menus) approximately twice/year maximum. My web guy has recently updated my site with the latest WP version and he has installed a new menu/template. He has also done whatever work he needed to do so that my site is easily seen on Smartphones, etc. He did this very recently.

I'm looking for someone who charges a reasonable hourly rate and can also charge per 15 mins., 30 mins. depending on how long the job takes, so to speak. The person who manages my website would also be very skilled at teaching a novice (like me) about WP, because I am also looking for one or two WP "lessons"-not in a group format, but on a 1:1 basis; if you make house calls, all the better but I'm happy to travel to you. I live just East of Canary Wharf so if you're based in East London, all the better.

    Hosting

At the moment my web guy has my site hosted on a (third party)? site and he is happy to carry on doing that, unless I decide to move to another host site (he'd be happy either way).

If you think you fit the bill, and are looking for some extra work (not a ton, but a few hours worth/year), please send me an e-mail.

If you'd like to have a look at my site and get a sense of what I'm looking for, it's www.cbtcanarywharf.co.uk

    Many thanks,
    Marla

Just to add that the person I am looking for may already have their own web design company set up, or they may not, but I am looking for someone who will stay with me for the long haul; not just a one-off job. I consider the relationship between a website owner and designer/manager to be intimate, and close, given you will not only need to have a sophisticated understanding of WP, but you will also get to know me, and the nature of my profession/business, so committtment is something I am looking for.
