The group is open to all, no need to have done any dancing before nor to have any specific movement skills to join: it is about discovering, exploring, unleashing and enhancing your individual potential.

Nia blends a range of rhythmic music styles with carefully choreographed hour-long routines. It is the first and foremost 'fusion fitness' program of its kind, inspired by three art forms: The Dance Arts - Jazz, Modern, Duncan; The Healing Arts - Yoga (http://www.anniann.de/index.php/en/what-is-nia/nia-yoga), the work of Moshe Feldenkrais, The Alexander Technique; and The Martial Arts - Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi. The group's purpose is to provide a community forum to increase awareness of all NIA activities in London, including local area JAM sessions, special performances, classes and other events.
