Active screenwriters who gather to read and critique each other's work, exchange advice, motivate each other and make lasting connections. Members are serious about their writing, open to constructive criticism and willing to provide insight to their fellow writers.
Who should join: screenwriters –budding and experienced– who aim to get their work produced.
Why you should join: this is a great place to test your idea, see what's working and what isn't, get advice from other screenwriters and get motivated to advance.
What can you expect: a community of respectful and serious screenwriters who support one another through the tough-love of constructive criticism, who share their knowledge, advice, and experience, and who encourage each other.
Our activities: currently we organize fortnightly Screenplay Critique events to give feedback on the work of the members, and monthly Script Chat events to meet and have a chat with other screenwriters (organized through Facebook). And we are working to orginize new types of meet-ups.
What is expected of you: for our Screenplay Critique, members are expected to read the submissions before attending the event with a focus on providing constructive criticism to the author. Members are expected to be respectful of the authors and their work.
Where do we meet: central London, around Bank/Monument.
To submit a script: send a PDF to the email address on http://scr.im/3zna . In order to submit a script, you need to attend a Screenplay Critique event beforehand.
Join our Facebook group: We only accept people from our meet up group and use it as a way to stay in touch and share film news and related media as well as organize get-togethers outside of critiques. Please come along to a meet up and talk to an admin!
