Merstham to Box Hill - North Downs Way

This month's long run will be in Surrey, and we'll be running on the scenic North Downs Way from Merstham to Box Hill. Thereafter, we will head for a pub lunch nearby.

This run is about 11 miles, multi-terrain, and quite hilly (as the title suggests). You don't need to run fast, but please be confident that you can manage the distance (there are potentially cutoffs to Reigate or Betchworth station).

We'll meet at London Victoria at 9:45 am (in front of the Café Nero near the ticket counters – please be there on time if you'd like to share a 1/3 discount on GroupSave tickets), taking the train towards Bognor Regis at 10:02. We will have to change at East Croydon for the 10:21 service towards Tonbridge, so should be arriving at Merstham at 10:35. For the return journey, there are direct trains from Box Hill & Westhumble Station to London Victoria. For example, there is a 3:17 pm service which arrives at Victoria an hour later. A return ticket should cost £9.10 (the first three people to comment below can claim 1/3 discount on my Network Railcard).
